Thank you for your interest in
becoming involved. Please send an
email
with your name and email address to express your interest in the
organization and to be added to the mailing list.
EMAIL LISTS. Official LSALDF meeting announcements, event info, etc.
will be sent to members once you sign up using the link above. There have been requests that we create a
forum for the distribution of animal-related announcements (letter-writing
campaigns, boycotts, protests, etc.) that are non-LSALDF sanctioned and
which our organization is not involved with. This list has been created
through Yahoogroups. If you would like to join this list, please visit
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AnimalLawinLA. As an example of the
content of this list...two current opportunities for involvement include
submitting public comments to the CA Department of Fish and Game (DFG) to
protect wildlife and contacting your state senator to support AB 1857 to ban
declawing of cats.
ANIMAL LEGAL DEFENSE FUND. We are the Loyola Law School student
chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF). You may also register for a
free e-newsletter on animal law related issues from ALDF at
http://www.aldf.org/enewsletter.asp?sect=enewsletter.
Membership in LSALDF shall be open to all students currently enrolled in
Loyola Law School, regardless of gender, race, creed, age, color, national
origin, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
Our faculty advisor is Barbara A. Blanco, Clinical Professor of Law.
